National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and KCNSC celebrated the placement of the?final structural beam of the Phase 1 office building in a Topping Out Ceremony for the Kansas City Non-Nuclear Expansion Transformation (KC NExT) project on February 25.?Phase 1 is scheduled for completion in mid-2026, this multi-year project will add approximately 2M sq ft of state-of-the-art manufacturing and office space that is needed to continue ensuring a safe, secure, and reliable U.S. nuclear deterrent.
