Invited by the Virginia Department of Transportation’s (VDOT) Hampton Roads District, KCI provided VDOT employees with a Lunch and Learn on advanced technologies for #transportation construction management and inspection. The presentation was coordinated by Jay Huston and Dail Stancil and delivered by Jay Kwon, Morgan Jones, Brent Reeves, and Scott Howell from our Technology and Innovation Sector. Jay Kwon focused on the KCI-developed BRYX? modeling #technology and its ability to automatically identify, detect, and count traffic control flow devices while Scott Howell discussed the use of an ArcGIS Online Web Application for #stormwater facilities management and inspection. #GISDay

KCI’s Mike Motley and Communications Infrastructure team were recently featured in the?Tower Times?magazine?for their efforts on the Harford County Ma & Pa Trail project which included the design and installation of a video camera system to enhance protection measures and improve data accessibility. Our team led the initiative to connect each pole to an optical fiber network for high-speed data transmission and dedicated circuits for continuous camera operation. Despite the project’s complexity, our crews were able to carefully navigate the trail’s conditions while minimizing the environmental impact.
