Thank you to Bell Bank Mortgage for your generous donations of snacks to our two hospice houses! They are so appreciated by the families we serve. Special shout out to Mary Lee Gilchrist who spearheaded the effort and her coworker Jake Belcher who helped deliver the snacks. We appreciate you!

关于我们
There’s a long list of hospices in Kansas City, but there’s only one Kansas City Hospice! Our commitment to Kansas City KC’s original hospice, leader in palliative home health care, serving the greater Kansas City area since 1980. Local leadership keeps our focus on caring for our community with expertise and compassion. Unmatched expertise Our award-winning palliative care experts include board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners and five teams of RNs, social workers, chaplains, CNAs, art/music therapists and grief support specialists. Outstanding volunteers More than 300 dedicated volunteers work to bring such a breadth of services to patients and families. They assist the care teams, work to grant wishes, provide special services to veterans and even care for pets in times of need. A place almost like home When care is too complicated to take place at home, Kansas City Hospice House? and NorthCare Hospice House provide a quiet and safe haven for patients and families alike. Still nonprofit Our focus is on caring for our community instead of maximizing our bottom line. Our commitment is to care for all ages at all stages of serious illness, making sure the whole family receives support all along the way. Dedicated care team for children It takes special skills and special hearts to care for seriously ill children and their families. Carousel Pediatric Care can start working even before birth to make sure whatever time a child has here with us is full of love. Comprehensive grief and counseling services In addition to expert grief support specialists, we offer many ways for youth, individuals and families to find comfort during and after a loss. Solace House is the Midwest’s premier center for grief and healing. Passages offers counseling for those experiencing complicated grief, a difficult life transition or healing from trauma and loss. Camp Erin and Camp Carousel are weekend grief camps for children and families.

Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care team members gathered (virtually) today to celebrate more than 40 of their colleagues during the annual Team Member Recognition & Service Awards event. Recognizing team members with five to 35 years of service, this heartwarming event brought tears (of gratitude and celebration) as managers and other leaders from around the company spoke about the long-tenured members of their team. In addition, the organization reveled in a proclamation by Mayor Quinton Lucas on behalf of the residents of the City of #KansasCity, Missouri, declaring March 6 as Hospice Team Member Appreciation Day! “Recognizing that Kansas City Hospice is a nonprofit, locally owned and operated with headquarters on State Line Road and team members offering care and solace throughout the greater KC community, and whereas, since 1980, KCH has thoughtfully responded to the needs of the community surrounding end-of-life as they have arisen, expanding into the comprehensive system of programs and services offered today, and whereas, annually KCH serves more than 5,500 individuals and their families, all while their compassionate caregivers have the unique honor of being an intimate support to families, their children and friends, during the important period of time at the end of someone’s life and through the grieving and healing process.” Pictured is KCH President & CEO David Wiley, who celebrated his own 10-year service anniversary today, holding the mayoral proclamation.
