Last week, Governor Andy Beshear and OMC Executive Director Sam Flynn (right) awarded the first medical cannabis business license to executives from KCA Labs of Nicholasville, Kentucky.

Cincinnati Public Radio has reported that Kentucky has awarded its first-ever medical marijuana business license to KCA Laboratories, a safety compliance facility responsible for testing all medical cannabis products before reaching state cardholders. The announcement was made by Gov. Andy Beshear, who emphasized the role of KCA Labs in ensuring product safety.
