KBJW volunteers prepared a home-cooked meal for guests at the Reinhart Guest House at St Mary’s Hospital. The Reinhart House is a home away from home for families that need a place to stay nearby while a loved one is at St. Mary’s. Our team was excited to prepare a delicious and nutritious meal for families staying at the guest house, so they have one less thing to worry about while their family member receives care. The family dinner program is one of many ways to support the Reinhart House’s mission to promote health and wholeness in an environment that feels like home. Last week, local non-profit Homefull celebrated the grand opening of the new healthy living center in West Dayton. The healthy living project embodies purpose, pride, and potential in West Dayton, creating a brighter future through collaboration and investment in the community. The 45,000 square-foot building improves access to fresh food and essential services with Gettysburg Grocery, Kettering Health Primary Care, Ziks Pharmacy, and Homefull’s new headquarters. Homefull is a non-profit organization addressing housing instability, food insecurity, and barriers to employment. The next phase of the healthy living redevelopment project aims to bring affordable housing to the 16-acre site. We’re proud to be part of this amazing project.
