I have a busy few weeks coming up! Today I am traveling to Chatlotte, SC where I instruct NCTC Basic Interview/Interrogation. Next week, I will be in St. Paul, MN. The week after I will be in Hempstead, TX instructing NCTC Detecting Misleading Behaviors. I will be traveling all over the US through August. I can't wait to meet all the LEOs and see some familiar faces along the way!

As 2024 draws to a close, I would like to leave a final thought about leadership. Leadership is foundationally crucial for the advancement of any organization. those who are in positions of leaders, remember the principles of leadership...1. leadership is a quality and not summarily perceived because of rank. 2. leadership has lead as the root word, leading is done from the front, so set examples worthy of expectations. 3. Leadership includes all willing to take the responsibility in an organization and can be at every level. one does not need to be a "boss" to be a leader. 4. Leaders promote the growth of all individuals understanding that individual growth is collectively team growth. 5. Leaders understand that they don't know everything so being a strong leader means you have to rely on your team to fill in the knowledge gap. 6. Leaders exemplify moral, ethical, and legal decisions. Any of the three absent should influence the decision easily.

I have always been interested in the psychology of human behavior and how people display deception. That is one reason that has driven me to graduate studies in forensic psychology.
