OSHA is about improving immidate safety requirements. Which is amazing. The unsaid component in safety is mental health from the pressure of the job. Suicude rates in construction are far too high. Part of poor mental health safety is using equipment that is required, but typically not fit for the purpose. Think, hard hats that fall off all day, that slip on the head when simply walking around the site. They become a frustration rather than a safety asset. Now imagine wearing a frustration for 8+ hours a day - that is not mental health safety.
