Last summer, more than 100 employers across the Kansas City area – nearly a third who are entrepreneurs – partnered with ProX to match 665 students, aged 14 to 19, with client-connected projects for a five-week paid professional experience. #ProX pays the student stipend, allowing employers to engage students in relevant work and problem-solving from fresh perspectives without worrying about how to find or pay students. This Friday and Saturday we welcome Kansas City's educators of color to the annual #AmplifyKC conference! The weekend kicks off Friday morning with a trip to the Brown vs Board of Education National Historic Site in Topeka, Kansas, to mark the 70th anniversary of the 1954 U.S. Supreme Court decision. For those who tour the museum, Gerard Robinson, professor of practice at the University of Virginia, will lead a session focused on what educators and families did leading up to and after Brown and the lessons educators can learn from as they work in classrooms today and into the future.
