Kauffman Center Spotlight, Spotlight Premier and Ensemble members kicked off their Thanksgiving week in exuberant fashion at Monday’s Spotlight Members Concert & Holiday Reception, featuring The Freedom Affair. The nine-member soul ensemble’s energetic performance had audience members clapping and singing along with the band in Helzberg Hall. After the performance, members enjoyed drinks and a hot chocolate bar, along with festive cookies, pumpkin cheesecake bites and more, in Brandmeyer Great Hall alongside the band members. ?? It was a pleasure having the string quartet Innocenti Strings perform at the Ensemble PNC Pop-Up this week at the Kauffman Center. From the networking reception to the private performance, both held in Brandmeyer Great Hall, the quartet set the mood with their modern twist on classical music. Some of the more popular songs included "Beautiful Day" by U2, "Don’t Stop Believin'" by Journey, "Hey Jude" by The Beatles and "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift. Ensemble is the Kauffman Center’s business membership program consisting of 80 businesses in the KC metro area and is presented by PNC. Patrons enjoyed the artistry of world-renowned musician and Grammy-nominated organist Cameron Carpenter in the Kauffman Center’s Helzberg Hall on Tuesday. We are still awestruck from the breathtaking sounds created from the Julia Irene Dennie-Kauffman Casavant Organ, Opus 3875. This memorable evening and free concert were made possible by Saint Luke's Health System in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Photos by Don Ipock.
