KATZEN has developed a proprietary Universal Product (UP?) “bolt-on” distillation system that is flexible in throughput, energy consumption, and process flow configuration, enabling fuel ethanol plants to produce virtually any known market grade of alcohol. Examples include intermediate industrial alcohols (e.g. hand sanitizers, solvents, chemical intermediates, etc.), common Grain Neutral Spirit (GNS), and the purest alcohol in the world, known as VHQ? (Very High Quality).

Our CEO, David Lococo, spoke to Ethanol Producer Magazine about the growth of Grain Ethanol amidst sugarcane in Brazil, given KATZEN's large presence in the Brazilian ethanol market from cereals. The world's largest dry mill corn ethanol plant, a KATZEN design, is also highlighted! ?? ? During the conversation, he emphasizes the growth of the Brazilian market, due to the new decarbonization policy and ethanol blend increase up to 35% (E35). Additionally, there is a potential growth in the US market if the country adopts the 15% blend (E15) year-round. ? 3Tentos makes progress in expanding operations to produce bioethanol? Construction has started on the 3tentos corn ethanol plant in Porto Alegre do Norte – Brazil, with plans to commence production in early 2026!? The KATZEN designed plant will produce approximately 428 million liters ethanol, 279,000 tons of DDGS and 17,500 tons of corn oil per year, reinforcing KATZEN’s leadership in the conversion of starch to ethanol.
