  • ?? OUR PUBLIC LANDS ARE UNDER THREAT ?? Yesterday, thousands of public land employees, including around 1,000 National Park Service staff, were fired. Our parks are now more understaffed, overburdened, and vulnerable than ever. With fewer rangers on the ground, it’s vital that we do our part to protect these spaces. As part of our journey to visit all 63 U.S. National Parks, we’ve seen firsthand how critical park staff are—not just for maintenance and safety, but for preserving these incredible landscapes for future generations. National parks are more than just places to visit—they are living history, irreplaceable ecosystems, and sacred lands that deserve protection. While so much of what is happening is troublesome, don’t fall into a doom spiral. There are things each and every one of us as individuals can do to help. What you can do:?? Leave No Trace—pack out all trash, stay on trails, and respect wildlife. ?? Be patient & kind—remaining staff are doing their best under impossible conditions. ?? Respect the land—fewer rangers doesn’t mean no rules. ?? Take action—call your representatives and demand better funding for public lands. It even landed on Martha Stewart, The TODAY Show, Fox, and many other news sites. And it didn’t happen in a quiet week—this weekend was one of the busiest on social media with the Super Bowl dominating the conversation. Yet, amidst all the buzz, our content still broke through in a big way. Heck, we even garnered more views than some Super Bowl commercials, and we did it all with absolutely no budget. From setup on “Inflation Day” to the last float passing Macy’s flagship store, we planned, captured, and delivered everything Ram’s Marketing and Press Teams needed—turning it all around within hours. Real-time content creation is something we take a lot of pride in.     Another post about #TaylorSwift? You bet. At the start of the month, Kathryn and I flew to Indianapolis for Taylor Swift’s legendary Eras Tour. While the concert was a dream for Katie (I wasn’t able to get a ticket), what truly stood out was how Visit Indy transformed the weekend into a cultural phenomenon. From local businesses (Ash & Elm Cider Co., Sun King Brewery & Spirits, etc) to large organizations (JW Marriott, Lucas Oil Stadium, Bell Racing Helmets, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indianapolis Airport Authority, etc.), those who leaned into the Swiftie spirit didn’t just join the fun—they reaped the benefits. One of the highlights for us at Katie And Joe On The Go was partnering with the Indianapolis Zoo and #VisitIndy to promote their Swift-themed “Wildest Era” event. It was a brilliant example of how tourism organizations can creatively embrace a major cultural moment to drive engagement. This collaboration marked one of our first forays into more tourism-focused projects, and it was amazing to be part of something that brought so much joy to visitors. Here’s what the weekend taught us: ?? Be Adaptive: The businesses and organizations that seized the moment saw massive success, from increased foot traffic to strengthened customer connections. Those who didn’t? They missed out on a golden opportunity. ?? Leverage Cultural Moments: By tapping into a shared cultural passion, you’re not just selling a product—you’re creating an experience people want to be part of. ?? The Power of Collaboration: When cities and businesses align their efforts, the results are extraordinary. Indianapolis came together as a community to create a welcoming, memorable experience. On a personal note, I didn’t get to attend the concert itself, but we did make it to the front of the Taylor Nation Instagram account with our costumes, which was a highlight! Now, we’re looking ahead—if anyone has connections or tickets for Taylor Swift’s Vancouver shows, we’d love to chat. Even better, if a brand or tourism board wants to collaborate, we’d be thrilled to help capture the excitement of the Eras Tour and create unforgettable experiences. Let’s make it happen!
