Debuting in 2026, Zion: the Animated Series!

Coming next year! Captain Redtail is a one-shot comic book featuring the oldest superhero in the Kassaverse. It's essentially Captain America meets Superman. Captain Redtail tells the story of Samuel Sanders, a former Tuskegee airman who has just moved to the Big Apple! Hoping to jump start his career in advertising, Sam learns the hard way that while the world changed after World War II, in many ways, things back home have not. Sam uncovers a plot to revive the program that gave him his special abilities and is forced out of the shadows to become New York City’s newest protector!

My first foray into published comics was this little comic strip for the?CU Independent, my college’s newspaper. I had just transferred schools for the hundredth time and I was looking for ways to meet new people. I went to the school club fair out on the quad and saw the booth for the school newspaper. I asked the person at the table, who just happened to be the chief editor, if they had a cartoonist on staff. They didn’t. The last cartoonist had graduated a couple years back. So I was in luck, they needed a new cartoonist! I sent them some of my art and ideas I had for stories, and the rest was history. Check out the rest of the story in the article below!
