关于我们
Kaskaskia Engineering Group, LLC (KEG) is a 100% woman-owned and managed engineering and contracting firm that was founded in 2006. From the beginning, we have recruited highly skilled employees from a variety of public and private sector backgrounds. This has allowed us to quickly amass an impressive portfolio of federal, state, county, and private project experience. We have established professional relationships with The Federal Highway Administration, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Capital Development Board, Illinois American Water Company, East-West Gateway Council of Governments, Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, and area leaders. KEG is a certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) through the Illinois Unified Certification Program, Iowa DOT, Missouri DOT, and Indiana DOT; licensed as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council; and is recognized as a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) by the Small Business Administration. Our main office is located in downtown Belleville, Illinois, with branch offices in Peoria, Champaign, and Glen Carbon, Illinois, as well as Ste. Genevieve, Missouri and Evansville, Indiana. Our goal is to provide extraordinary service through expert technical knowledge, collaboration, and communication early and often. KEG’s full service capabilities include transportation engineering, geotechnical engineering, general contracting, GIS mapping, environmental science, construction observation, and water resource management, including water, wastewater, and stormwater planning and design. The diversity of our in-house services affords us the ability to understand more than just how to complete a project. It allows us to view projects with a holistic approach – considering all phases of projects, as well as environmental, client, and stakeholder needs.

We would like to take a moment to honor Black History Month and recognize the important contributions of Black Americans in the engineering industry. Did you know that the automatic traffic light was invented in 1923 by Garrett A. Morgan, an African American inventor? His invention revolutionized traffic safety for generations. #BlackHistoryMonth

Did you know that paint can help a bridge last longer? Bridge painting isn't just for aesthetics—it prevents rust and corrosion and helps maintain structural integrity. KEG provided environmental services for this bridge painting project along State Route 11 over Opossum Creek in Bartholomew County, Indiana. While performing an inspection for the preparation of a Categorical Exclusion, we found a bird’s nest! This means appropriate mitigation measures must be implemented before work begins. Thank you WSP for teaming with KEG on this Indiana Department of Transportation project! #KEGatwork

Last week, KEG construction technicians and engineers attended the Indiana Department of Transportation's Vincennes District Construction Conference. Our KEG-ers learned about what changes to expect for the 2025 construction season and key safety protocols to uphold. It was also a great opportunity to connect face-to-face with the INDOT Vincennes District team we work with regularly. Huge thanks for the informative conference! #KEGatwork

Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day is more than just a day—it’s a movement. Here, some of our KEG-ers share what they would tell their younger selves about pursuing a career in engineering. By showing young girls that engineering is a woman's job, too, we can empower the female innovators and changemakers of tomorrow. #Eweek2025 #IntroduceAGirltoEngineeringDay #DesignYourFuture
