This project was a true team effort between KPA Engineers, Emerson Construction, and Covey Planning + Landscape Architecture, enhancing the gateway into downtown Temple with new monument signage, improved roadway infrastructure, utility upgrades, and 10 acres of landscaping. Currently attending Austin Community College for CAD Design with a Civil Engineering Specialty, Travis brings a passion for problem-solving and hands-on work. Engineering runs in his blood—his father and grandfather were both engineers, inspiring him to pursue this career. With a background as a Gray Eagle drone pilot in the Army, Travis is no stranger to precision and technical challenges. When he’s not designing, you can find him 3D printing, fine-tuning RC cars, or scuba diving. Plus, his loyal Doberman, Schatzi, is always by his side! Major improvements to Kegley Road are progressing, including expanded pavement with a continuous left-turn lane, pedestrian sidewalks, upgraded drainage, utility work, and a new bridge over Pepper Creek. Once complete, the roadway will function as a minor arterial, improving connectivity and providing a safer, more efficient route for drivers and pedestrians.
