Last week, the Arizona Special Districts Alliance adopted its first policy platform for the Grand Canyon State's special districts. It is another big step for nation's ninth 'umbrella' state special districts organization! A policy platform is essential for advocacy organizations to declare priorities, streamline actions, foster confidence in how members are represented, and can be used to steer delivery of educational resources. For organsizations serving #SpecialDistricts, a platform is fundamental to convey understanding of the common issues this diverse sector of local government faces. Is your special district or organization looking to establish and convey priorites for advocacy at the local, state, and/or federal levels? Drop us a message. We'd love to connect.
ASDA is excited to share its first Policy Platform as the Alliance continues building upon its foundations to amplify the voice of Arizona's special districts through education and advocacy! For far too long, Arizona’s special districts have lacked a unified voice to advocate on a dedicated set of policy priorities for hundreds of local governments and the more-than 1,000 elected and appointed officials directing these services. We are excited to write this new chapter for special districts advocacy from Phoenix to Washington.” - Carol Shrock, ASDA President
