Excited to share that HOPE for Georgia Moms partnered with The?Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSAgov), HHS Office of Intergovernmental and External Affairs – Region 4, to host a Grants 101 Workshop! Participants gained valuable insights into the federal grant application process, explored diverse funding opportunities, received expert tips on crafting a strong application, and identified common mistakes to avoid. We are dedicated to empowering the community by enhancing access to essential resources that facilitate successful funding applications. Karna is excited to be working with the NH Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). We have a team currently deployed to the area to conduct a Rapid Community Assessment that will help us better understand how to reduce mpox transmission. Community-based organizations (CBOs) are essential in advancing maternal and child health (MCH), especially in underserved and marginalized populations, given their experience, contextual understanding, trust, and reach. However, CBOs often have limited resources and capacity for their work. To address this need, Karna is proud to be funded by CDC to provide capacity building assistance to MCH-focused CBOs.
