As we learned during the 2022 floods in Eastern Kentucky, the surest way to meet the immediate and long-term needs of the people in the region is by supporting organizations that have a history of working in the communities. It is with mixed emotions that we share the news that after 17 incredible years at the James Beard Foundation, our highly respected President and COO Kristopher Moon will be departing for a new career opportunity to continue supporting the independent food and beverage industry. Since 2007, Kris has made a profound impact on the Foundation. From starting his JBF career managing events and operations at the historic Beard House, to his most recent major accomplishment, building and launching Platform by JBF in New York City which brings our mission of #GoodFoodforGood to life with exceptional culinary events and educational programming for food lovers from around the country. We wish Kris the very best in his new endeavor and look forward to his support of JBF in the future! ??

KK&P was recently retained by the King County, WA-based?Carnation Farms?(www.carnationfarms.org) to support the successful recruiting of a new Director of Regenerative Agriculture. ? Carnation Farms is a community-based hub for regenerative food and agriculture that educates and empowers the work of culinary, food, and farming professionals. ? A historically significant agricultural asset of the Snoqualmie Valley, the Farm has embarked on an evolution of its 100-plus year history, a transformation based on regenerative agriculture practices and a focus on healthy, sustainable food systems throughout all its farming, culinary, and educational activities. ? An experienced Director of Regenerative Agriculture will lead the development and implementation of the farm’s regenerative agriculture strategies, in partnership with the Board and Executive Director. This leader will help shape a vision for the Farm’s leadership role in food and farming systems in the Pacific Northwest. ? In addition to hands-on regenerative agriculture farming experience, we are seeking someone who is also a businessperson, and team manager and leader.
