Verified by NHTSA’s Cybersecurity Lab, the recall involved an aftermarket device with wireless connections that could be exploited to stall vehicles. ? Together with our integration partner in Korea,?Samsung SDS, we have announced the certification of XGuard by the Korean?Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA)?to secure Smart Homes against cyberattacks. Wallpads are wall-mounted tablets that enable homeowners to control their homes remotely. Exposed to remote communications, Wallpads have become a prime target for hackers. For example, a Korean cybersecurity expert?illegally accessed & distributed private videos from 400,000 homes?via vulnerable Wallpad cameras and he has recently been sentenced to four years in prison. The Korean TTA has published a set of cybersecurity regulations that require Wallpad manufacturers to secure their devices against cyberattacks. October 7th 2023 was a day of infamy, as Hamas terrorists invaded Israel, killing close to 1200 Israelis and foreigners -- among them hundreds who came to cheer for peace at the Nova Festival. Over 250 men, women, elderly, and children were taken hostage. The ensuing war has caused even more deaths and suffering on both sides. We observe that day with great sorrow, and wish that peace will arrive to the region, to bring the prosperity and harmony we all long for. And above all, may the 101 remaining hostages return home safely soon!
