To celebrate International Mother Language Day, advanced students at our Kaplan Oxford school were invited to educate their classmates on how their languages work. There is a language which boasts a remarkable 32 vowels. Anyone know what it is? The staffroom of our Kaplan Toronto school has been buzzing with excitement with the news that they secured the prestigious KLG School of the Year award! The KLG Awards are an opportunity to reflect on the year just passed and celebrate the excellence of our teams across areas of teaching, operations, sales and business support. And as if that wasn't enough, the school also managed to win Leisure Programme of the Year whilst making it into the final 5 for the Teaching Programme of the Year award. Kurt Evans, Director of Operations, North America said it's 'a fitting testimony to a vibrant school where students thrive both in the more formal classroom environment and on the wonderful extracurricular programme that the school has to offer.' He explained that it was a 'tight race, among a group of schools that attract excellent NPS scores and all put student success at the heart of everything they do'. No, it's not a typo! Each January, we take time to reflect on the year just passed and celebrate the excellence of our teams across areas of teaching, operations, sales and business support. In each category, a group of five nominees compete with each other on a set of metrics which combine to determine the final winner. Our congratulations go to all those teams and individuals who had the honour of being a finalist. This year's winners included our school teams in Toronto, Boston, Brighton, Chicago, Los Angeles and teachers from our schools in Bournemouth, Boston and Berlin! Last week the KLG 2025 Sales Kick-off took place in the beautiful city of Nice. The event brought together team members from four continents and was fantastically hosted by our colleagues at Azurlingua.
