Hello, Conscious Consumer! Ever wondered where your old clothes end up? Most likely in landfills, polluting our environment. But we’ve found a better way! I’m excited to share that after a year of research and development, we’ve successfully created bricks from recycled textile waste (#RTW). This breakthrough not only prevents waste but also promotes #sustainability and the #circulareconomy. ?? Did you know? India generates millions of tons of #textilewaste every year, yet only 10% is recycled. With no government mandate for #textilerecycling, the issue keeps growing. That’s why I always say, "The next #plasticwaste crisis is #textilewaste!" ?? What can you do? ? Be responsible with your #clothes—don’t let them end up in landfills. ? Avoid selling to the #unorganizedmarket, where waste often goes unmanaged. ? Donate your #textilewaste to us, and let’s work together for a cleaner planet! ?? Let’s turn waste into something valuable and build a #sustainablefuture! Non-Woven Felt from recycled textile waste ??
Founder, Kapda Karo Recycle | UNCTCN Climate Innovator | Textile Waste Recycling Innovator | POP Trainee Mentor | Sustainable Innovation Award '23 Winner | Kectil '23 & FXB '24 Alumni | Ex IIT-H & IIIT-A Intern
Hello LinkedIn Family, ?? Finally got Non-Woven Felt! This is only the beginning! #SustainableFelt #Sustainability ?? Last year in August, I embarked on my R&D journey in textile recycling and sustainable products, which led to the launch of Kapda Karo Recycle with some initial funding. With India grappling with the challenge of textile waste due to a lack of technology, infrastructure, and innovation, I was determined to create a solution. After a year filled with trials, errors, and perseverance, I’m proud to announce that I have developed felt made from recycled textile waste, using biodegradable adhesive to ensure it’s not harmful to the environment. This sustainable felt can be used for home insulation, furniture padding, blankets, and much more! If you’re an individual, startup, or investor interested in collaboration or support for this initiative, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] or call +91 8585061414. Let’s work together to combat textile waste! #SustainableFelt #NonWovenFelt #TextileRecycling #Sustainability #Innovation #KapdaKaroRecycle #EcoFriendly #WasteManagement #Startups #Collaboration
