Yesterday, we broke ground on the Constellation Center and Constellation Apartments. This project will bring 84 affordable homes and a dedicated youth support hub, the Constellation Center, to the heart of Capitol Hill. Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell, Councilmember Joy Hollingsworth, @YouthCareSeattle CEO Degale Cooper, and Community Roots CEO Chris Persons joined supporters, partners, and community members to celebrate this milestone. This project will help young people exiting homelessness access stable housing and life-changing career training. While we celebrated progress, we also felt the absence of former Washington House Speaker Frank Chopp. His vision and leadership were instrumental in making this project possible. We are honored to take this next step toward a Seattle where everyone has a place to call home.

I am excited to share that we have successfully closed financing for two consecutive transformative LIHTC projects! Casa de la Mora (Yakima-East): A 72-unit new construction affordable housing development located in Yakima, WA, that will provide much-needed homes for our community. Grant County Preservation Project: The rehabilitation of 93 units across multiple properties in Quincy, Mattawa, and Warden, WA, ensuring the long-term sustainability and quality of these homes.
