We are saddened by the passing of former Kansas Chamber Chairman Dale Davis. Dale led the Chamber from 2002-2003 and was also named the Director Emeritus, shaping our mission with a sharp focus on Kansas businesses, our members' needs, and the state’s economy. From starting as an assistant welder at Sauder Tank Company to becoming an owner, Dale’s story is one of dedication and leadership. His impact on Emporia and Kansas is immeasurable—serving as Mayor, championing countless organizations, and contributing to over 70 scholarships. We are forever grateful for his vision, service, and legacy. Our thoughts are with his family and the Sauder Custom Fabrication team. #leadershiplegacy #saudercustomfabrication

The Kansas Chamber Government Affairs team is working hard to shape policy and advocate for business-friendly legislation at the Statehouse! The Kansas House approved a bill to establish a regulatory "sandbox," designed to foster business innovation by allowing certain rules and regulations to be relaxed or amended. The bill passed with a vote of 90-28 and has been forwarded to the Senate for consideration. The bill's progression to the Senate marks a significant step in Kansas's efforts to balance regulatory oversight with the promotion of business innovation. As the legislative process continues, discussions are likely to focus on refining the sandbox framework to ensure it effectively supports economic development while safeguarding public interests.
