What a great night to celebrate two of our KHF board members! Junetta Everett (Alumni Achievement Award) and Jill Docking (Board of Trustees Award) were both honored last night at the Wichita State University Heritage Gala. We were thrilled to help recognize Junetta and Jill, and we thank them for being such great ambassadors for the KHF mission and vision. Congratulations to them both! And, kudos to the WSU Foundation and Alumni Engagement team for putting on a first class event!

Exciting day in Manhattan as the Kansas Health Foundation and Kansas State University announced a formal partnership to work on food insecurity in Kansas. Recently, we welcomed more than 200 Kansans to our inaugural HealthRise event in Topeka.? ? We cast our vision and challenged attendees to help make Kansas the healthiest state in the nation – it will take all of us doing our part.? ? We also know to improve the health of our state, more people from around Kansas will need to understand the issues and care deeply about the goal of better health. ? HealthRise was a collective call to action for all of us. We’re thankful to everyone who joined us!?

Announcement Alert! KHF is excited to announce the publication of a new book to be released in September 2025. The book is titled, “Leading Health: How you and 30,000 Kansans help communities thrive.” President and CEO Ed O'Malley is the author, and we’re excited to work with publisher Todd Sattersten and the phenomenal team at Bard Press to make this vision a reality. Much, much more information will be coming during the next year, but great work is already underway, and the publication date will be here before we know it!
