Doug Bates – CCIM Kansas City Special Events Committee Chair Doug Bates has been actively involved with CCIM for over a decade, earning his CCIM designation in 2012. Now in his fifth year on the board, Doug has taken on various leadership roles, including overseeing education, PR, and breakfast meetings. Currently, he chairs the Special Events Committee, where he helps foster the networking and educational opportunities that make CCIM such a valuable organization. According to Doug, “The combination of education and networking is the best blend for personal and professional development.” He believes that CCIM offers a solid foundation to analyze commercial real estate and provides a framework that is crucial for success in the industry. He emphasized the importance of real estate firms that embrace CCIM’s education programs and support employees in pursuing the designation, comparing it to a degree program for commercial real estate professionals. “The contacts I’ve made at networking events have been invaluable to my career,” Doug says, highlighting how the relationships built through CCIM have significantly contributed to his growth in the industry.
