Many of today's successful founders began their entrepreneurial journey while at the university. Universities are fertile grounds for entrepreneurial endeavors, often serving as incubators for innovative startups and founding relationships. That’s why Kaleo Ventures is kicking off its annual Grad Launchpad program, aimed at supporting university student-founders across Africa (who are in their final or penultimate year) at the earliest stages of their entrepreneurial journey. Participants in the program have the opportunity to pitch their startup ideas/products to investors and accomplished founders to access funding, mentorship, and advisory. Our first destination is the esteemed Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Nigeria, where the OAU Edition of Grad Launchpad will take place on April 20th, 2024, at BOOC, OAU, Ile-Ife, Osun State. If you're a student at OAU in your penultimate or final year, click [here] to register. If you’re not a student at OAU, not to worry - we have a list of amazing universities across Nigeria that we’ll be visiting this year, so stay tuned. We’re excited to have a lineup of astounding OAU alumni founders who will engage with students and share insights from their entrepreneurial journeys. They will also participate in selecting the winning startups: Afolabi Olamide - Co-Founder and CEO of Touch and Pay Technologies Ltd (YC W22) Pay Technologies. Tobi Ololade -? Co-Founder and CEO of Dojah (YC-W22). Femi Aluko -? Co-Founder and CEO of Chowdeck. Oluwatobi Odukoya - Co-Founder and CEO of CDcare (Techstars '22). Thanks to our partners Ventures Platform Fund, Voltron Capital, and Alpha Gaps, for their support in making Grad Launchpad a reality: Link to register: https://lnkd.in/dAwYu-5W
