?? Recruitment Myths: Part 2 Last week, we talked about the myths in recruitment—what’s true and what’s just noise? ?? Let’s keep diving in and uncover the reality of the recruitment world! ???? ? Myth #4: If a candidate is actively looking, something must be wrong ?? Reality: The idea that only passive candidates (those not actively job-hunting) are high-quality is outdated. Many top professionals seek new opportunities for growth, better work-life balance, or career advancement. ? Best approach: Don’t overlook qualified active job seekers—they’re often motivated, prepared, and ready to contribute. ? Myth #5: A perfect candidate exists ?? Reality: No one checks 100% of the boxes. If you wait for the "perfect" candidate, you might never make a hire. Skills can be learned, but the right attitude and cultural fit are harder to teach. ? Best approach: Prioritize must-have skills and traits while being flexible on things that can be developed over time. ? Myth #6: AI can replace recruiters ?? Reality: AI can enhance recruitment by automating tasks like resume screening, but human recruiters bring emotional intelligence, relationship-building, and strategic thinking—things AI can’t fully replicate. ? Best approach: Use AI as a tool, but don’t rely on it to make the final decision. While data and technology help streamline the process, human insight, adaptability, and relationship-building are what truly drive great hiring decisions. ??? If you need help with your hiring process, reach out to our team—we’re here to help! ?? #MythsOfRecruitment #Workforce #kalatalent

Pop Culture and Recruitment ?? Would Harry Potter be a Great Project Manager? Here’s Why… ???♂? ???Job: Project Manager ???Candidate: Harry James Potter (Harry Potter series) Why he’d be a great fit: ?????Leadership skills: Harry consistently leads teams through the toughest challenges, whether it’s taking down dark wizards or saving the world from impending doom. His ability to motivate and inspire people is exactly what you need in a project manager. ????Adaptable and resourceful: Harry doesn’t just rely on spells—he’s always finding creative solutions to problems. In project management, adaptability is key, and Harry’s ability to pivot and think on his feet would be an asset. ???Risk taker (when necessary): Harry isn’t afraid to take risks for the greater good. A strong project manager has to know when to push boundaries, take calculated risks, and challenge the status quo to get the best results. ???The catch: While Harry is a great leader, his tendency to act impulsively without a clear plan (e.g., rushing into dangerous situations) could sometimes derail his projects. Perhaps a little more risk management and preparation could save him some trouble. ? ?? What other fictional characters do you think would make great hires? #PopCulture #HarryPotter #Recruitment

Behind the scenes with Joe: The matchmaker of opportunities ??? Ever wonder how connections turn into partnerships? How a simple conversation can spark a collaboration that changes a company’s hiring strategy? Well, meet Joely Andrea Amundarayn (Joe), our Business Developer & Partnership Associate at kala—the person behind those game-changing introductions! ?? Joe isn’t just about sales calls and emails—she’s the bridge between growing US companies and our recruitment team. Her mission? To understand the needs of companies and create a long term value relationship with them. But how does she do it? Let’s take a peek behind the scenes! ?? ?? Step 1: Understanding the need Before pitching anything, Joe dives deep into understanding what a company really needs. She asks the right questions: ? What roles are they hiring for? ? What’s their company culture like? ? What kind of talent would truly thrive there? ?? Step 2: Conversations that matter Joe spends her days talking to founders, hiring managers, and decision-makers, understanding their challenges and showing them how LATAM talent can be a game-changer for their teams. And when a company is hesitant about hiring remotely? She brings data, success stories, and real case studies to show why LATAM is the best-kept secret in global hiring. ???? ?? Step 3: Making the right introductions Once she understands a company’s needs, Joe works closely with our talent acquisition team to find the best candidates. When a company finds the perfect hire, that’s the magic moment—and Joe gets to be part of that success story! ?? ?? Step 4: Building long-term relationships For Joe, the work doesn’t stop once a candidate is placed. She stays in touch with companies, ensuring they’re happy with their hires and helping them plan their next hiring moves. Because for us, partnerships aren’t just about one-time placements—they’re about growth, trust, and long-term success. ?? ?? Recruitment Myths: Part 1 Recruitment is full of misconceptions, outdated advice, and myths that can mislead both companies and candidates. Some of these myths make hiring seem harder than it is, while others create unrealistic expectations. So, let’s separate fact from fiction and debunk some of the biggest myths in recruitment. ?? ? Myth #1: The best candidate is the one with the most experience ?? Reality: Experience matters, but skills, adaptability, and cultural fit often outweigh years on a résumé. Someone with 5 years of outdated experience might not be as valuable as someone with 2 years of relevant, up-to-date expertise. ? What to look for: Growth mindset, problem-solving abilities, and how well they align with your company’s needs. ? Myth #2: A long hiring process ensures the best hire ?? Reality: Taking too long to make a decision can cost you top talent. The best candidates often receive multiple offers, and delays can signal indecisiveness to potential hires. ? Best approach: Keep your process efficient, structured, and transparent, ensuring candidates stay engaged. ? Myth #3: Remote employees are less productive ?? Reality: Studies show that remote workers can be just as, if not more, productive than in-office employees. Productivity isn’t about location—it’s about clear expectations, accountability, and the right tools. ? Best approach: Focus on results, not micromanaging hours worked. Stay tuned for Part 2 as we continue uncovering the myths of the recruitment world! ???

Why AI Can’t Replace Your Voice Let’s be real, ChatGPT is an amazing tool. It can generate ideas, structure content, and even write full articles in seconds. But if you’ve ever used it for writing, you’ve probably noticed something: ?? It often sounds the same. ?? It uses generic intros and conclusions. ?? It lacks your unique voice. That’s because AI doesn’t think, it predicts. It pulls from existing patterns and gives you a well-structured (but often repetitive) response. And while that’s helpful, it’s not enough if you want to create content that stands out. So, how do you balance AI efficiency with originality? The answer is simple: personalization kills perfectionism. ChatGPT shouldn’t do all the work for you. Why? ? It doesn’t know your experiences. Your personal stories, opinions, and insights are what make content engaging. ? It follows patterns. If you’ve ever asked ChatGPT to write multiple articles, you’ll notice it often starts with “In today’s fast-paced world…” and ends with “So, what do you think?” It’s predictable. ? It can’t replicate human emotion. AI can mimic tone, but it doesn’t feel the way you do. Authenticity is key in great content. ?? You can train AI, but you should always edit If you train ChatGPT with your past articles, preferred style, and unique structure, you’ll get better outputs. But even then, it needs a human touch. ?? Customize the intro – Skip generic openings and start with a strong hook or personal anecdote. ?? Add your perspective – Don’t just present facts; include your take on the topic. ?? Rewrite the ending – AI loves wrapping up with “In conclusion” or “What do you think?” Try finishing with a bold statement, an open-ended question, or a next step for the reader. So, next time you use AI for writing, don’t just copy and paste. Make it yours. Add your voice. Inject your personality. And remember, personalization kills perfectionism. ?? #AI #UniqueVoice #kalatalent

And the winner is Home Office Vibes!! ???? Remote work continues to be the top choice for professionals, and it’s no surprise why: flexibility, better work-life balance, and the ability to work from anywhere are just a few of the reasons people love it. Whether you're team remote, hybrid, or in-office, the key is finding what works best for you. What’s your favorite part about working remotely? ???? https://lnkd.in/dJUiDACz
Is there really a perfect work setup? ?? Sometimes working from the kitchen can feel like a productivity jungle (who knew the fridge could be such a distraction?!), but then again, spending 2 hours in traffic to get to the office isn't exactly a dream either.
