Shiloh started having panic attacks when she was 9 years old. Therapy, and the meditation exercises in the Calm Kids section on the app, helped her get back to the activities she loves. “The app can be an extension of therapy,” said Alana K. Miller-Clayton, PhD, psychologist with Kaiser Permanente in Georgia. “The Calm app, along with therapy, can provide kids support and structure when practicing their coping skills, allowing them to feel more comfortable.” The Calm app is available to Kaiser Permanente members at no-cost.
