?? Our Kaiser Permanente ‘ohana had an incredible time at Relay for Life at Maui Tropical Plantation last month! Our dedicated Oncology department led our team in raising more than $4K for the American Cancer Society. They set up an amazing carnival lane, where participants enjoyed games, delicious treats, and vital cancer screening education. Mahalo to all our volunteers and participants for making this event a success!

?? Join us at the Young at Heart Expo at the Blaisdell Arena and Hawaii Suites on Friday, Oct. 4, and Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Honolulu. Kaiser Permanente members can get a no-cost flu shot and COVID-19 vaccine. We’ll also hold life care planning sessions from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. on both days at the arena main stage. Admission to the event is free!

?? On Friday, we held a special blessing for our newly revitalized garden courtyard at Moanalua Medical Center. Once a stone garden, this beautiful space has been transformed with lush plants and cozy seating areas, offering a serene spot for visitors, patients, and employees to find calm and healing. For anyone who wishes to reduce stress and take in a breath of fresh air, the courtyard is open between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily right off of our lobby.

We were able to provide no-cost screenings for skin cancer and head and neck cancer to the public, and offer mammograms and pap smears for our members.
