This incredible young man has been with KaiPod since our early days in Arizona. His transformation is proof of the power of personalized education! Over the past three years, he was able to take charge of his own education, scoring 800 on the Math SAT and securing a spot in the Honors College at his dream university. What makes us most proud is the leader and role model he's become. To the students, families, educators, and communities in Los Angeles, we are ready to help however we can. ?? See below to see how you can help us accelerate this effort!
When disaster strikes, children’s education is often one of the first things disrupted—and the impact of that disruption can last for years. We learned this lesson during COVID, and we owe it to children to ensure they never face such prolonged instability again. Over the past few weeks, tens of thousands of families have been affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, and dozens of schools have been destroyed. At KaiPod Learning, we have been working to launch free pop-up microschools to provide a lifeline for students in need. Our goal is simple: to get as many children back to in-person learning as quickly as possible. We’ve already identified a few spaces to host these pop-ups and developed plans to staff them with qualified educators. We would like to do more! So, today, I am looking to harness the collective power of this group to accelerate this effort. * Do you know anyone near the affected areas with access to flexible spaces -- community centers, libraries, or any other place that could safely accommodate 20-30 students for a few weeks or months? * Do you know of affected school districts, charters, or private schools looking for temporary solutions to accommodate displaced students? We’d love to bring microschools to them! ?? Finally, please consider reposting this to help spread the word and get more people involved in this effort! ?? More than 60% of U.S. parents of school-aged children considered sending at least one of their children to a different school last year, according to our new January 2025 survey. ?? Read all our findings here: https://lnkd.in/eGUUWXAK This census-balanced survey of 2,873 parents of school aged children found that military families, younger parents, and Black moms and dads were among the most likely to consider new schools for their kids last year.

Before the holidays, our CEO Amar Kumar went on a whirlwind 400-mile adventure—visiting 8 schools, meeting 100+ kids, and crashing 3 holiday parties in just two days! Highlights? Asher steals the show as tour guide at Desert Sun Ranch, the kids at Moreana Boys Academy crushing it at KaiPod Chess Club, and pizza-fueled chaos with teens at Noema Learning. We felt the calm at Faithscape Learning, saw incredible growth at Sonoran Learning Collective, and were inspired by the grit at Suewong McFadden Academy and life-changing work at Inspire Academy.
