Founded in Honolulu, Hawai’i in 1936 by George Brangier and Nat Norfleet, Kahala was the first company to manufacture and wholesale aloha shirts. Since then, we’ve continued to spread the Aloha spirit with our unique textiles and artwork. We’re family owned, community minded and committed to manufacturing the majority of our collection locally. Department of Education Teacher Externship Day was a huge hit! Teachers in the fashion apparel, film, and digital design pathway were given the chance to interact with industry leaders. Industry leaders shared insights on how to bridge the gap in order for students to be workforce ready.
