Kafie 1901 Cigars

For the past two and a half years, we’ve been meticulously crafting a very special cigar, special not just in name, but in every step of its creation. We’ve selected premium tobaccos grown by La Aurora, aged for four years, and further matured the filler leaves for an additional 12 to 18 months. The result? Blends that have truly blown me away, rich in flavor, complex in aroma, and delivering an elegant, refined strength that only the finest aged tobaccos can offer. What truly sets this blend apart is the aging and fermentation process. There’s a right way and a wrong way to barrel-age tobacco. While many are barrel-aging finished cigars, we chose not to take shortcuts. Instead, we age the raw tobacco leaf in rum barrels, a method that allows the tobacco to fully absorb the barrel’s character over time, enhancing depth and complexity in a way that can’t be replicated. About a year ago, I called our Master Blender, Manuel Inoa, and asked, “Manuel, is the tobacco ready?” His response: “Not yet, my friend. Not yet.” Twelve months later, the time has finally come. This week marks a major milestone as we begin testing the final blends of a cigar brand that’s close to our hearts, STILTSVILLE. This brand pays tribute to the iconic Stiltsville homes in Biscayne National Park, once a rum-running haven in the late 1800s and early 1900s. A fitting homage, given our use of rum barrels in the aging process. And not just any barrels, we're using barrels that once housed an exclusive, award-winning rum crafted by our manufacturing partner, La Aurora. It’s a tremendous honor to work with these barrels and bring STILTSVILLE CIGARS to life. These cigars will be available for pre-order at the 2025 PCA Trade Show.
