Yes, AI is the next big thing, but adoption in the enterprise is lagging (h/t Menlo Ventures 2023 State of AI in the Enterprise report). Security / privacy concerns, compatibility with legacy systems like VDI, cost, and the speed at which things are moving, among other reasons, all contribute to the tepid uptake. But the bigger thing we are hearing from customers is the desire to not rent AI from vendors, but instead, to own their future -- own the data, the models, and the experience. To make it explicit, here are some of the questions we are hearing from customers: - How are my employees using AI? - Is using common AI tools opening my firm up to litigation? - How can we trust what we can't verify? - How can we project cost with any amount of certainty? - How are regulatory concerns like GDPR and CCPA managed and reported on with respect to AI? Even if you had all the answers to the above, how do you apply it, let alone verify it? 3) what's next Having self-funded Kaba to this point, and being so close to getting product out the door, we are now moving into acceleration mode. So we are opening our doors a bit more widely. That means customers and investors. We are looking for customers who want to own their future. We are looking for customers who want to leverage the data and experience they have developed over time. We are looking for customers who understand the opportunity of applying artificial intelligence to their data and creating new experiences.
