On #GiveMiamiDay 2024, KGI and its team members collectively raised over $14,000 to support local charities and nonprofits that are helping to make a positive impact in our community.??This total included a $10,000 gift in support of Dream in Green to help expand its Green Schools Challenge program throughout South Florida, as well as the company matching all team members’ donations on a dollar-for-dollar basis. Nick and Mark Gunia presented Dream in Green’s Executive Director Barbara Martinez-Guerrero with the gift at the Give Miami Day Unity Breakfast, which was held at the Royal Caribbean Cruise Terminal yesterday.?Special thanks to all KGI team members for their generosity and support for a diverse array of organizations and causes, including VolunteerCleanup.Org, Animal Recovery Mission, Nicklaus Children's Hospital Foundation, Miami Beach Botanical Gardens, and Baptist Health Foundation to name a few. A HUGE shoutout to our amazing volunteers who came out last Saturday morning for International Coastal Cleanup Day! We're incredibly proud of our KGI employees, friends, and family who joined thousands of local volunteers across 70 cleanup sites to remove a whopping 25,000 pounds of trash and plastic waste from our beautiful beaches.?Together, we filled trash bags with plastic bottles, cigarette butts, fishing gear, and other harmful waste that threaten our marine ecosystems. ? Big shout out to our Bajan customers and friends gearing up for their annual Crop Over celebration from July 31st-August 6th. Dating back to the late 17th century during the days of slavery, Crop Over marked the end of the annual sugar cane harvest in Barbados and is currently one of the Caribbean region‘s most anticipated events. Crop Over is celebrated over several days and culminates with the Grand Kadooment on the first Monday of August, featuring a carnival parade with marching bands, vibrant costumes, and nonstop merriment and dancing.
