Reporting on multidisciplinary and emerging issues in the field of water resources planning and management.
关于我们
The Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management reports on multidisciplinary and emerging issues in the field of water resources planning and management. Journal publications include research and practical applications that examine engineering, social, economic, environmental, cultural, recreational, and/or administrative aspects of the use, distribution, regulation, reuse, and conservation of water in natural and built environments. Topics encompass innovative technologies, policies, and emerging systems analysis approaches, applications, and practices for improved monitoring, modeling, digitalization, and management of: ? surface and ground water resources; ? water supply and distribution systems for stormwater, drinking water, and wastewater; ? ecosystem services and environmental water; ? nexus of water, energy, and agricultural systems; and ? sustainability, resilience, and adaptation of water resources and infrastructure to uncertain and evolving environments. ASCE strives to advance research across civil engineering and related disciplines that will help inform, develop, and inspire sustainable action. We therefore encourage authors to categorize their research using at least one of the Sustainable Development Goals identified by the United Nations.

???? Celebrating 150 Volumes of ASCE Journals! ???? ???Why It Matters:?This seminal study highlighted the critical role of both optimization models and engineering judgment in designing cost-effective water distribution systems, setting a benchmark for future research and practical applications. Today, we are spotlighting the 1987 paper titled “Battle of the Network Models: Epilogue” by Tom Walski, E. Downey Brill, Jr., Johannes Gessler, Ian C. Goulter, Roland M. Jeppson, M. ASCE, Kevin Lansey, Han-Lin Lee, Jon Liebman, Larry Mays, David R. Morgan, and Lindell Ormsbee, in the ASCE Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management ???Key Insights:? ?? Comparison of different optimization models for water distribution systems. ?? Emphasis on the necessity of manual calculations and engineering judgment at that time. ?? Influence on future research and model development. ?? Access is free for registered ASCE Library users until December 31, 2024. ?? Read the full paper here: https://lnkd.in/eNT37Sr3)) ??
