JWR Outreach aims to provide underserved communities with access to nutrition, medical care, education, and essential community services. Our work We are currently focused on building sanitation facilities in the San Isidro community of the Philippines to achieve Zero Open Defecation (ZOD) in the area. We recently started the construction of 60+ community sanitation facilities with a goal of completion in 2023. JWR Outreach was created in 2022 to honor the memory of Jack William Rice and his compassion for people and the planet.

    In early February, rains in the province of Agusan del Sur, Philippines, left thousands without food or clean drinking water. Homes, as well as crops, the main source of income for the region, were destroyed. This region is where JWR Outreach volunteers live and have been building sanitation facilities for the community. JWR Outreach volunteers were able to distribute bread and 200 bottles of clean drinking water. Want to help?
