Last week, we were honored to serve dinner to Orange County Fire Station #36 in honor of 9/11 Remembrance Day. This is our small gesture of gratitude for the many ways these men and women #takecare of us and our community.

Last night, we had the privilege of hosting Michelin Star Chef Gerald Sombright for a spectacular collaboration dinner with our own Chef Jobin Thomas at Sear + Sea. The "Dining with the Stars" 7-course menu was an unforgettable experience, perfectly paired with exquisite wines curated by Heliana Bartlett, WSET II and Ana Paula Matiusso Tabajar. The evening featured an array of culinary masterpieces, from a burrata disguised as a tomato to a Koji-aged Tomahawk with Kimchi creamed collard greens. The Monkfish was a standout favorite among our guests. It was incredible to witness the synergy between our chefs and the flawless execution by our team, resulting in a truly exceptional dining experience. Our associates were proud to host the North and Central Florida Masters of the Craft Competition last Friday! In addition to our competitors Angela, Michelle and Mateo, many associates worked very hard to showcase the absolute best that our hotel has to offer to our peers in the Florida Market and Marriott Corporate Leadership. Even better is that Mateo, a Server in our UnReserved restaurant, won the beverage competition! Throughout the month June, our?Marriott International?Eastern Region associates celebrated?#PrideMonth?with parades, Serve 360 volunteer opportunities, and various celebratory events. ? Associates at the?Orlando World Center Marriott?and?JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort and Spa?participated in the CommUNITY Rainbow Run, while Talent at the?W Fort Lauderdale?hosted a Pride celebration complete with a “Love Is Sweet” table with rainbow smoothies and cake. ? At the?Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels, the team?held?their second annual Pride Flag Raising and donated funds to Zebra Youth, an organization dedicated to helping LGBTQ+ youth in Orlando.?Also in Central Florida, the Renaissance Orlando At SeaWorld decorated the Heart of House, shared themed treats, and offered exciting photo ops. ? In New Orleans and Boston, including the?Boston Marriott Long Wharf, associates gathered for Pride parades and festivals, and the team at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center wore Pride pins and highlighted the LGBTQ+|ONE Associate Resource Group. ?
