Claire Coder, founder and CEO of Aunt Flow, is on a mission to make period products as freely available as toilet paper. What began as a one-woman operation has grown into a team of 20 across multiple states—with Justworks by their side since 2019. We handle the complex matters—compliance, taxes, and payroll—so Claire can focus on what matters most: revolutionizing how the world thinks about period products. Today, Aunt Flow serves over 60,000 bathrooms across the US, Canada, and UK. Every business starts small. And, Justworks gives small businesses a boost to grow and scale.

Advocacy isn't just a buzzword for us at Justworks. It's part of how we deliver for our customers. Last fall, we took seven small business leaders, including Jill Blakeway, Founder and CEO of The Yinova Center; Melissa Anelli, Founder and CEO of Mischief Management; and Noah Kaplan, CEO of Loyalsnap, to Washington, D.C., to speak directly with lawmakers about the impact of ERTC delays on their teams. Together, we secured the release of $50 million in stuck relief and returned it to nearly 600 small businesses that use Justworks. But with $90 million still pending, our work isn't over. True partnership? To us, that means standing with our customers when it matters most—and for however long it takes.

Justworks is full of special folks. I heard a story from our Customer Success Organization this week that really stuck with me. One of our small business customers called into our Support line because they needed help with an international contractor payment.?Zadie Walsh?from our Payment Specialist team provided in-real-time guidance to make sure this company's contractor was paid the right amount at the right time, putting the customer's mind at ease. Making sure your team gets paid correctly can be stressful for small business leaders, especially when they're wearing more than just a few hats...Showing up for small businesses during the highs and lows, big and small, is what we do at?Justworks. I love this story because this short interaction with Zadie gave one of our customers peace of mind. And, that's what it's all about!

? After years of waiting, I’m thrilled to share that Smart Sitting has finally received our long-awaited ERTC funds from the IRS—money promised to us for keeping our team on payroll during the pandemic. ?? This group is made up entirely of small businesses, and from my own experience — and in talking with other small business owners — I know how much this support truly means. It makes a real difference in helping us invest, hire, and plan for the future. ??? Last fall, Justworks invited me and other small business owners to Capitol Hill to discuss these delays. Thanks to those conversations and continued efforts, as of today, the IRS has released $50 million (of $140M total) in overdue ERTC funds for 585 Justworks customers. Huge thanks to Justworks & Michael Seckler, Maria Tarmoun, CPA, MSL, MAcc, CPP, Elliot Stephenson, Tricia Russo, Esq., David Feinberg, and to Congressman Dan Goldman, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and Senator Chuck Schumer for their support. Let’s keep fighting to ensure all small businesses get what they’re owed. ??
We aspire to be a true partner to small businesses—and today, we’re delivering results. Justworks has secured the release of $50 million in Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC) funds for our customers, after months of advocacy in Washington. Last fall, we took founders and CEOs to Capitol Hill to tell their stories. Lawmakers listened. And now, overdue funds are flowing to the businesses that need them. But we’re not stopping here. $90 million in credits owed to Justworks customers is still waiting to be processed in the IRS backlog, and we’ll keep pushing until every business gets what they are owed. Because when small businesses win, we all win. ?? https://bit.ly/3DtTvSM

Introducing Justworks’ Executive Customer Board for 2025. We believe that some of the best insights come from real conversations with our customers. Since 2019, we've done just that—gathered a group of small business leaders together and facilitated two-way discussions to better understand what they want and need out of our platform. The board's insights allow us to incorporate the voice and perspective of small businesses into our business and product. Their input has directly influenced features such as: ??People Analytics, which provides workforce insights and reporting so small businesses are empowered to make informed decisions for their companies ??Expenses, which has gotten small businesses out of spreadsheets to track out of pocket expenses, and disperse payments right within their payroll system ??Justworks mobile app, which allows teams to time track, request PTO, and submit expenses on the go More to come from this year’s board! – The board includes: Cat Sayles, COO at Sustainable Westchester; Chuck Marcelin, Director of HR at Hudson Valley Property Group; Dan Raney, Chief Administrative Office at NIC MAP; Helga Stark, VP of Finance at OneSix; Jacob Walls, Head of Finance at Northspyre; Jennifer Shaw, Director of Operations at Recidiviz; Jessica Lysons, Director of Finance & Admin at THE CITY (newsroom); Noah Kaplan, CEO at Loyalsnap; Oz Wasserman, Co-Founder and CPO at Opsin; Scotti Rylands, Director of Talents & Culture at Metrum Research Group ; Walter K Booker, Managing Director of Administration at MarketCounsel Consulting .
