We are looking for a Personal Injury Attorney for our Northern Kentucky office! We are seeking a highly motivated litigation attorney to join our legal team. Although the position will be in Northern Kentucky, we also have an office in Louisville and handle cases all over Kentucky and the country. This position will offer you the opportunity to work on a variety of Plaintiff personal injury cases from intake through trial as well as providing support for the partners on their cases. Responsibilities: - Conduct legal research and analysis on various cases and issues - Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings and motions - Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies - Represent clients in court hearings, depositions and negotiations? - Provide legal support to clients Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Sought: -?Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing - Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet critical deadlines - Strong organization and time management skills - Ability to work professionally and effectively with clients, partners, associates, and support staff - Exceptional project management skills - High attention to detail Qualifications: - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in Kentucky and be licensed in Ohio or willing to obtain an Ohio license. Last night was something I’ve dreamed of for over 20 years - being sworn in as President of the Kentucky Justice Association. I’ve been a member of KJA (formerly KATA) since 1997 while a college student clerking for Andy Busald & Bill Kathman. 10 years later, I received the Finis Price Board Member of the Year Award. In my opinion, KJA is the best State Trial Lawyer organization in the country and I am humbled to now be their President for 2024. It was wonderful celebrating this special occasion with my wife, Farrah Isaacs Vaughn, daughter Hazel, and parents, Dyan and Jerry Vaughn. It was an honor to be sworn in by Kentucky Supreme Court Justice Michelle Keller. There are too many people to thank in this post, but they include my law partners, Penny Hendy, Ronald Johnson & Sarah Emery, KJA Executive Director Maresa Taylor Fawns, Immediate Past President Paul J. Kelley, Robert Mattingly, Scarlette Burton Kelty, Jeffery Roberts, Chandrika Srinivasan, Abby Rhodes Green, all the wonderful KJA staff, the current Board of Governors, and so many more. It’s pretty cool that I am or have been law partners with four Past Presidents: Andy Busald, Bill Kathman, Ron Johnson & Penny Hendy. Finally, Kentucky’s only two AAJ (formerly ATLA) Presidents, Peter Perlman & Tad Thomas were in attendance, with Tad driving down from Chicago yesterday to be there. I look forward to a wonderful 2024 serving this fantastic organization.
