"$18,000 is never a reasonable price for a law firm website." It’s time to shine a spotlight on the shady pricing practices criminal defense attorneys face when addressing their technical and client acquisition needs. At JusticeArch, we’re committed to earning your trust and helping your firm grow: https://lnkd.in/gtZXUnRD

$18,000. That’s what one criminal defense attorney told me they paid for their website last week. It wasn’t bespoke—just a standard setup: a homepage, an "About Us" page, a few practice area pages, and the like. $18,000. Not only that—it was a template. But focusing on that misses the bigger issue: $18,000 is never a reasonable price for a law firm website. I understand the technology, the labor involved, and the actual costs of building a high-quality website optimized for acquiring new clients. A law firm only pays $18,000 when someone exploits technical information asymmetry—misrepresenting the work and inflating the price at the expense of professionals who dedicate their lives to helping people at their most vulnerable. At JusticeArch, we are rooted in the legal profession and committed to its success. Our prices are only reasonably in excess of cost—never in excess of value delivered. Let's save your firm money and sprint towards growth: https://lnkd.in/gUYzhj55

Why overpay for the same deliverables your competitors receive? https://lnkd.in/gtZXUnRD

A criminal defense lawyer would never disclose their trial strategy to the prosecutor. Yet many accept deliverables from tech agencies that are virtually identical to what those agencies provide their competitors—law firms targeting the same clients, in the same area, using the same keywords. Want a website? Here's a template we've sold to your competitors. Need a blog for organic growth? Here's filler we pulled from the free version of ChatGPT—it'll show up on other firms' websites too. If your clients wouldn't tolerate this from you, why accept it from the companies you pay to grow your firm? Imagine a growth partner who upholds the same exacting standards you demand of your own practice. That's JusticeArch. https://lnkd.in/gUYzhj55

Your potential criminal defense clients aren’t comparing your website to other law firms. They’re comparing it to the platforms they use daily. Think DoorDash, Angi, Zocdoc—sites that make it effortless to understand the service and take action. When your website creates friction instead of removing it, clients don’t lower their expectations. They keep searching. You lose the client. And with that, you're one step further from covering overhead—and achieving profit. -- Shameless plug: If your criminal defense firm needs an online presence upgrade, JusticeArch can help. https://lnkd.in/gUYzhj55

Every criminal defense client comes with unique facts, priorities, and personality. Good lawyers understand this. They tailor their advocacy and relationship management to each individual. Yet they don’t receive the same personal care when it comes to their business development needs. The tech agencies they rely on pursue exorbitant margins—margins that are fundamentally incompatible with personalized service. Instead, these agencies rely on cookie-cutter approaches—scalable, perhaps, but far from a value-add. Want a website? Here’s a template we've already sold to your competitors. Need a blog for organic growth? Here’s some garbled nonsense we pulled from the free version of ChatGPT. Now pay up. I’ve spoken with enough criminal defense attorneys to know that cookie-cutter solutions don’t deliver enduring value.

Over 70% of lawyers report mental health struggles, with 37% citing depression. There’s no single cause, but consider this: More than half of all attorneys run solo practices or work in small firms. They’re tasked with practicing law and running a business—two demanding, full-time jobs in one. Imagine a solo criminal defense attorney. Their legal work directly impacts life outcomes—high stakes requiring unrelenting focus. Yet tech agencies exploit these demands, chasing exorbitant margins, knowing few attorneys have the bandwidth to navigate tech and question prices. It’s worth re-evaluating your recurring fees. What are you actually paying for, and are you receiving fair value? At JusticeArch, we address both of those questions upfront—before you pay a cent.

Pet peeve: web developers who advertise themselves on their law firm clients’ websites. It’s infuriating. After developing the website, these companies don’t assist with digital marketing unless paid extra. Yet, law firms still need to drive traffic to their sites to acquire new clients. The result? Lawyers who run small firms end up investing time and money in free advertising for web development companies. What’s more, these companies pay attorneys nothing for this free exposure, all while continuing to charge recurring fees. At JusticeArch, we’ve helped criminal defense law firms build new websites—with this guarantee: we’ll never advertise ourselves on them. If we ever do, it will be with their consent and fair compensation for any leads generated from their site.

Information asymmetry is shrinking margins for small criminal defense law firms. Here’s what I mean: Lawyers who run law firms juggle both legal work and business development. However, business success doesn’t stem directly from legal education, particularly when it involves technology—a field with which many in the profession have minimal familiarity. The result? Agencies charge for tech-related services—like SEO, digital marketing, and website development—at prices far exceeding their variable costs. It’s worth re-evaluating your recurring fees. What are you actually paying for, and are you receiving fair value? I appreciate when potential JusticeArch clients scrutinize us this way. It shows they’re committed to growth—not just covering overhead.

Quick JusticeArch update: Since the start of my 3L year at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, I’ve sourced and closed multiple contracts set to generate thousands in profit—with healthy gross margins and recurring revenue to boot. I’m grateful to the criminal defense attorneys who’ve trusted me with their client acquisition needs and look forward to delivering a solid ROI on their investment. Now, to interrupt this shameless self-promotion with a shameless attempt at business development: If your law firm’s phone has stopped ringing, you might wonder why firms from the Midwest to the West Coast are trusting JusticeArch to fix that problem. I’d be happy to explain on a 15-minute call: https://lnkd.in/gQ9BHuPV Let’s get it done.

Great news! Camila Vicens will be joining JusticeArch as Co-Founder and COO. She will start working full-time upon her graduation from Northwestern University in June. Let me be clear: Camila is the best thing that has happened to JusticeArch. She combines intelligence with practicality, and her extraordinary work ethic is matched only by her passion for what we’re building. The future is bright. In related news, Camila led JusticeArch to the top 10 in the Latinas in Tech Startup Competition.
