In partnership with the Center for Advanced Policing at the University of New Haven (CT), JSTRI hosted a week-long “Train the Trainer” workshop. Thank you to all of our attendees that will now go forward and train others in the importance of de-escalation. Also, thank you to NDTC for providing us with two amazing instructors, Glen Mills and Joseph Witkowski.

It can be very stressful working at JSTRI, but thankfully Bella the UMass comfort dog was here to support our students Rachel Goodwin, Morgan Perry, and Briana Fraser. Great job Bella!!!!

JSTRI would like to thank Trauma Services for hosting a fantastic day of free training yesterday at our new location on the Roger Williams University campus. Thank you to Jessica Marmelo, Kerry Delano, Det. Chris Dolan (ret) and Det. George Duarte for some great presentations. Oh, and the reason for the second photo with us all laughing is because the RWU student taking the first photo said "we looked too stiff and Chris looked angry!"
