The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)'s CJIS Division has officially released CJIS Security Policy version 6.0, marking a significant modernization effort to enhance security controls and compliance measures. This latest update reflects evolving best practices and safeguards for criminal justice information. To assist with the transition, the IJIS Institute’s CJIS Security Policy Working Group is actively developing companion documents to help our constituents navigate the policy changes more effectively.
