关于我们
Philanthropy systematically excludes leaders of color who have first-hand knowledge of the most pressing issues of our day. Through its exclusionary (“we fund who we know”) and expensive – it can cost an organization $5,000+ per application – nature, Black and brown communities are chronically underfunded resulting in inequities across all parts of life, from criminal justice to education to healthcare. Developed by funders and organizers of color, JustFund is unlocking much-needed capital and transforming an archaic philanthropic model. With the nation’s first and only Common Application platform, JustFund seamlessly connects funders to groups on the frontlines of social change. And, applicants can apply for multiple funding opportunities with one application, on one platform, for free, in perpetuity. BIPOC-led organizations receive only 4% of all philanthropic dollars, but since JustFund’s launch in 2017, over $280M has moved to mostly Black communities, in the US South, and to organizations with budgets under $500K. JustFund’s equity-first technology has saved applicants a combined 38 years of time. By streamlining the entire grant process, JustFund helps funders and applicants focus on the transformative work of advancing their mission and building deep relationships. Already used by 170 collaborative and pooled funds and corporate and national foundations, JustFund aims to reach tens of thousands of funders globally so underfunded communities finally get the resources they need to thrive. By building more equity-centered tech solutions, JustFund is poised to help philanthropy move tens of billions of dollars annually to frontline organizations working at the intersections of the most complicated issues of our time.

We are so proud to have partnered with 212 funders like Butler Family Fund since our launch in 2017 and work with them to build the giving platform of our dreams: one that centers equity and trust and has uniquely designed features that allow funders to give in a way that aligns with their core values; including prioritizing their applicants’ experiences. This kind of impact is what happens with our sector invests in technology that is by us for us. JustFund isn’t here to make money - we are here to move money, and ensure those dollars get to historically excluded communities. We love our funding partners. This group of funders know that grantmaking doesn’t need to be overly complicated. They know that simplifying the process is good for everyone, especially communities working on the frontlines of critical issues. #techforgood #resetphilanthropy #equitablegrantmaking #philanthropy

At JustFund, we don’t view failure as the enemy. We see it as a stepping stone to success. Our Founder & CEO Iara Peng explains why “failing fast” and “failing forward” are so crucial to progress and innovation. Check out her article!
Founder and CEO with 25 years of start-up experience. Architects, launches, and scales companies that address systemic racism and injustice.
Can you remember the last time you failed at something? It probably felt, at best, uncomfortable—and at worst, excruciating. When I set out to build JustFund in 2017, I didn’t expect a smooth ride. I knew better from the other nonprofits I've launched like Young People For, Young Elected Officials Network, Prism, and Democratizing Philanthropy Project. Over the years, I’ve definitely felt the full spectrum of emotions when something doesn’t go as planned. But here’s a powerful lesson I’ve learned along the way: failure isn’t the enemy – it’s a stepping stone to success. I know so many of us in the nonprofit sector are navigating challenges right now, so I’m sharing why I believe that embracing failure is so important in our work. In this article, I talk about how failure doesn’t mean the end – it’s actually an opportunity to adapt, grow, and ultimately get closer to our goals. I'd love to hear what you think!? #Leadership #Innovation #FailForward #NonprofitTech #GrowthMindset #Entrepreneurship #LessonsLearned #Startups #Founders #JustFund

Hear what applicants are saying about the JustFund Common Application?: “I am extremely grateful for the streamlined, simplified process. This truly shows that you are thinking of the best interest of the applicant, many of us who are already strapped and stretched beyond capacity. These kinds of funding opportunities are super important and making them accessible to even the ‘least’ of applicants with the smallest capacity says a lot. Thank you!” - Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gu5KPqGW
