This billboard changes color to match the AQI of a nearby air quality monitor, making data even more public. Thanks to Katie Tiger and her team for this wonderful innovation! We're #hiring a part-time technician! We’re seeking a responsible, hands-on, and problem-solving oriented contractor based in West Michigan to keep JustAir air quality monitors running smoothly in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. We understand this role will likely fit alongside other paid work so envision the contractor fulfilling this role to have work which affords a high degree of flexibility and self-direction. ? What a Week of Gratitude, Community, and New Partnerships ? On Monday, I was privileged to attend the Carbon Removers Conference by Carbon180 in DC. There, I shared the stage with the inspiring LaTricea Adams and Gautama Mehta to have some real talk on how to build authentic community-first climate projects. ?I left feeling inspired by the diverse voices united in getting this work right by centering community health and power. It’s powerful to see people from all backgrounds focused on a brighter future ?? ! On Tuesday, we headed to Raleigh for the All Things Open Conference, where we had the privilege of pitching in front of government leaders for the Triangle+ Challenge by RIoT. I’m thrilled to share that JustAir won ?? -- allowing us to pilot in the region! It was inspiring to see government officials in my home state actively seeking ways to improve services for residents. This win is a testament to the value of community-centered solutions. I’m grateful to Rachael Newberry, John Holden, and all the leaders who created this space for innovation.
