关于我们

Just Mediation Pittsburgh is a nonprofit dedicated to helping landlords and tenants find solutions to housing disputes. Mediation is a free, confidential, voluntary process in which a neutral mediator helps people find solutions to their housing dispute. It provides an alternative to court and allows you to solve your problems rather than a judge. JMP Mediations are conducted over a videoconference and are scheduled at a time that is as convenient for you as possible. Mediation allows for your voice to be heard and gives you an equal share in shaping the outcome.

  • Just Mediation Pittsburgh Announces New Executive Director - Nonprofit Community Leader to Head Emerging Organization The Board of Just Mediation Pittsburgh (JMP) is pleased to announce the appointment of its second Executive Director since its founding in 2020. Longtime community leader Brian Schreiber will begin his service to JMP in April 2025 after serving over 26 years in leadership roles at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh (JCC). “Just Mediation Pittsburgh is excited to welcome Brian to steward the next stage of development of our growing organization,” said Selina Shultz, JMP Board Chair. “Our dynamic and talented JMP team has done an incredible job growing the organization from the ground up and are poised to embrace the organization’s full potential. With his reputation, wisdom, and leadership experience, Brian is the perfect leader to enable them to do that. After observing Brian over the years, I have witnessed his natural “mediator mindset”. He will be an incredible force to move us forward.” Schreiber served for nearly 25 years as the JCC’s President & CEO before assuming the role of Chief External Affairs Officer in 2023. Under his leadership, the JCC more than doubled in size and scope of services, retired $10 million of long-term debt obligations, built a permanent endowment fund of $20 million and reinvested over $32 million in its facilities throughout the region. The JCC was a central collaborator in the creation of the 10.27 Healing Partnership, a resiliency center that focuses on supporting individuals impacted by hate-induced trauma following the 2018 synagogue shooting. Schreiber was honored with the Conflict Resolution Day Award from the Mediation Council of Western PA in 2019 for his role in bringing together the community after the Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting. He is a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh and a past chair of the Greater Pittsburgh Nonprofit Partnership. Schreiber has been active in supporting larger regional advocacy efforts including Campaign for What Works, Pre-K for PA, and Southwest PA Says No More. “The JCC has been a central part of my life, and it was a profound privilege to serve as its executive leader” said Schreiber. “I am eager to apply my professional acumen to JMP that has accomplished so much over a short period of time and is poised for greater scale in the years to come.” Welcome to the Team, Brian!
