ISPOR Jordan, the first established Regional ISPOR chapter in the Middle East and North Africa, in collaboration with the Jordanian Pharmacists Association held two training workshops for pharmacists working in community private pharmacies: ? The first workshop was held in Karak (Siuthern Province) in July 27th of 2024. ? The second workshop was held in Zarqa (East Province) in August 17, 2024. The 6-hour training workshop was titled "Principles of Health Technology Assessments for Pharmacists" and it was done by ISPOR Jordan chapter chaired by Prof. Ibrahim Alabbadi, JUST-ISPOR students chapter chaired by Dr. Suhaib Muflih, and the head of pharmaceutical tender and procurement department at KAUH, Dr. Sofyan Migdadi. Dr. Muflih first introduced the levels of evidence-based medicine and the scientific approach in formulating necessary health decision-making given the strength of evidence in light of the cost-effectiveness measures, further, the supply chain concept was introduced by Dr. Migdadi exploring different processes and activities necessary to timely and efficient delivery of healthcare product for the end-users. Afterward, a more in-depth overview of health technology assessment and different pharmacoeconomic evaluation study designs was shared by Prof. Alabbadi. The event was attended by more than 50 community pharmacists who shared their thoughts from real-life experiences, and more effective discussion was facilitated between the speakers and the audience to help them integrate pharmacoeconomic concepts into their daily practice. Dr Suhaib Muflih and other JUST ISPOR members had an amazing time yesterday talking about helpful and effective ways to understand pharmacoeconomics better. The session was ended with a fun Jeopardy game and prizes!!
