关于我们
Juntos Colorado is a regional chapter of the Latino Network Hispanic Network (LGHN). In Spanish, "juntos" means together, and together, we want to make our Colorado chapter a thriving community of people dedicated to serving through local government, learning, and networking. And while this network was designed for the Latino community working in government organizations, that does not mean you have to be Latino to join. In fact, because we all work and serve the Latino community in Colorado, this is a great opportunity to make connections with others who are in similar roles across Colorado and even the nation. The purpose of the Local Government Hispanic Network is to encourage professional excellence among Hispanic/Latino local government administrators, to improve the management of local government, to provide unique resources to Hispanic local government executives and public managers, and to advance the goals of professional, effective, and ethical local government administration. The Network works with other organizations such as the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) which shares common goals. Benefits of becoming a member include: ? Leadership Development ? Peer Mentorship (access to Madrinas y Padrinos Mentorship program) ? Networking and Social Events ? Conferences ? Access to Job Board and New Opportunities ? Cultural Celebration

I can't think of a better way to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month than by sharing a feature in the September issue of PM Magazine, where I discuss my experience with Local Government Hispanic Network's Madrinas/Padrinos mentorship program, alongside Consuelo Arguilles, Marisol Gómez, and Ernesto Chavez. Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate the invaluable contributions of the Hispanic community, and this program perfectly exemplifies the power of culturally grounded mentorship. Más importante que nada, gracias a mi LGHN familia por esta oportunidad y por todo lo que hacen para elevar voces latinas. ?Feliz Mes de la Herencia Latina!

Here are a few additional pictures from the Juntos Colorado mixer. Thank you again for those who were able to make it, especially Crestina M. Martinez for your inspirational story and leadership journey as a Latina. If you were not able to join us, below are a few chapter updates that we didn’t want you to miss. 1. Juntos will be hosting a webinar on October 4th. It is based on a documentary called Map of Latin American Dreams. Argentinian-Chilean photographer Martín Weber (born 1968) traveled through Argentina, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Brazil and Colombia from 1992 to 2013 capturing dreamers and going back to see how many of those dreams were accomplished. 2. We will be holding chapter board elections in the coming months. At the conference a lot of folks expressed interest in joining the board and this will be the perfect opportunity to do so. 3. Festival Latino on Sunday, Sept. 15 at the Adams Country RiverdaleRegional Park. Celebrate the vibrant and rich culture of Latino heritage at the Adams County’s Festival Latino. This event promises to be a day filled with lively music, delicious food, and captivating performances that showcase the beauty of Latino traditions. 4. Lastly save the date. We will be hosting the second annual Juntos Colorado conference on April 23, 2025. Feel free to reach out with any questions. https://lnkd.in/gbKj5trZ Local Government Hispanic Network

Writes Joelle Martinez: We’re at a pivotal moment. With over 30 million Latinos currently in the U.S. workforce, and projections estimating that number to climb to 36 million within the next five years, one thing is clear: Latinos represent a critical source of talent and innovation that will define the workforce of today and the future.
