The largest student-run 501(c)(3) for environmental advocacy and policy for all ages to raise awareness and drive action
关于我们
We are the world's largest completely student-run 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to environmental advocacy and policy. Believing that age is not a barrier to impact, we engage diverse communities—from seniors to students worldwide—to foster awareness and drive action on pressing environmental issues. The Junior Philanthropists Foundation drives significant environmental action through policy and education concentrations through strategic engagement and targeted educational initiatives. Our projects connect diverse communities, empowering individuals from all walks of life to contribute to a healthier planet. We offer a variety of activities, from local workshops to international competitions, designed to educate and inspire action. Each project aims to enhance environmental awareness and promote sustainable practices, making a tangible impact on the world we share. Additionally, the Junior Philanthropists Foundation focus on driving impactful environmental legislation and reforms. By collaborating with lawmakers, providing expert testimonies, and mobilizing community support, we ensure environmental priorities are represented in legislative agendas. Based in California, our efforts are dedicated to shaping policies that promote sustainability, protect natural resources, and foster an inclusive approach to environmental improvement.

Hi everyone! This is Sophia Lane, the College State Lead for the California branch of the Junior Philanthropists Foundation (JPF). As the world’s largest entirely student-run 501(c)(3) organization focused on environmental advocacy and policy, JPF has traditionally been high school-based. However, we’re now expanding to colleges and are excited to build a leadership board to launch this initiative! If you’re interested in joining our college state leadership board, please let me know and check the link below to learn more about the available positions and apply. Applications are due no later than 11:59 pm on October 7th. https://lnkd.in/dvY3V7a8

The latest research from the Union of Concerned Scientists has just revealed that by 2050, tidal flooding could inundate critical U.S. infrastructure twice a year, with 60% flooding every other week. Disadvantaged communities are especially at risk. We need urgent, equitable action now! #CoastalResilience #RisingSeas #ClimateAction #EnvironmentalJustice #UCS
