But what does JLG actually do? ??Voluntarism We support our Partners Agencies, community partners and other outreach services with ongoing financial contributions, volunteers and community awareness. Or as we like to say, the 3 T’s-Our Time, Talent and Treasures…the Trifecta of Philanthropy. Our 2024-25 Grant Recipients: @triunemercy @soteriacdc @greenvillefreeclinic @girlupgvl Nicholtown Child & Family Collaborative *And we’re looking to double our grant program in the next few years! ??Education Last year we launched a new scholarship program! The scholarship is open to women 16+ living in Greenville County looking to further their education. ?? Advocacy The JLG is committed to raising awareness within the local community, specifically with regards to economic mobility and human trafficking. ??Training We are an organization committed to training women to be leaders within the community. Each year our 1,100+ members commit to placements within the organization where they are able to learn new skills, enrich existing ones and mentor others. Members regularly attend training seminars in various topics from self-defense to marketing strategies to executive leadership trainings to financial planning and advocacy simulations. The energy at last week’s Junior League of Greenville Education event was absolutely infectious! Kamber Parker Bowden, with the support of Jade Fountain, MPA, CFRE (a proud Junior League member), led an engaging session for a multigenerational audience representing a variety of industries. If you caught the video, you probably noticed how much this crowd enjoyed our Generational Bingo game—it was a hit! They even shared some fresh insights that surprised and excited our team. This event marked our final in-person speaking engagement of the year, and we can’t help but reflect on what an incredible journey 2024 has been. From training and education to connecting with audiences nationwide, it’s been a year full of meaningful moments, and it feels right to end right here at home in Greenville.
