JA empowers young people to own their future economic success by enhancing the relevancy of education.
关于我们
With the support of educators and community volunteers, Junior Achievement programs serve thousands of students in St. Joseph County every year. These JA experiences are igniting the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work in a 21st century global marketplace. During the 2021-22 school year, over 250 community volunteers partnered with 475 classrooms to impact more than 11,000 students with JA programs. JA is a partnership between the business and education communities that prepares youth for economically independent futures based on strong economic knowledge and solid personal financial management skills. We want to thank all of the teachers who invite us into their classrooms, our terrific volunteers who use their own experience and expertise to make the JA lessons come alive, and our generous contributors who provide the funding to help us open our students' minds to their potential! If you are interested in serving on the St. Joseph County Board of Directors, or providing funding for Junior Achievement programming in St. Joseph County K-12 classrooms, please contact Dani Elgas at (563) 676-6200 or [email protected] If you are interested in volunteering to teach JA programming in a local classroom, or are a teacher in St. Joseph County who would like to know more about bringing JA programs into your classroom, please contact Colleen Hahn at (574) 252-6056 or [email protected].

Welcome, 2025! At Junior Achievement serving St. Joseph County, we’re starting the year with gratitude and excitement. We are incredibly thankful for the support we received in 2024—from our volunteers, donors, board members, and partners who believed in our mission. Your generosity helped us expand our programs, inspire students, and bring financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness to life for even more young people. This year, we’re aiming to build on that momentum by: -Reaching more classrooms - Expanding access to JA BizTown and career exploration programs - Supporting schools with tools to meet new financial literacy requirements Your continued support makes it all possible. Join us in 2025 as a volunteer, donor, or partner to inspire the next generation and create brighter futures for our students and community! Here’s to another year of growth and opportunity—thank you for being part of the JA family!

?? Did you know ?? There is a new mandate that students graduating in 2028 must successfully finish a personal financial responsibility course before being eligible for graduation. This legislation establishes specific content requirements for the course and dictates that public schools, charter schools, or state-accredited non public schools must incorporate instruction on this course as a distinct subject. Good news ? JA can help?Contact our program manager Lindsey Grewe at [email protected] for more information on how JA can help
