On November 14th, approximately 20 volunteers from Stanley Black & Decker, Inc., Ernst & Young , and Central Connecticut State University brought JA in a Day to 460 students in grades K-5 at Vance Elementary School! ?? We are delighted to announce Nirav Patel as the new Chair of the Maritime Industrial Base Advisory Council for JA Maritime, which aims to inspire the next generation of skilled workers in the U.S. shipbuilding and submarine industries. ?? ? History is being made! Junior Achievement of Southwest New England has finalized an agreement with the University of Saint Joseph, enabling local high school students who successfully complete JA courses to earn academic college credits! USJ is the first private university in the state to establish this type of program, and we are thrilled to have them joining Central Connecticut State University in our collaborative commitment to providing access and opportunity to CT students! Equipped with lessons from JA curriculum, student teams competed for the largest portfolio by investing and trading in a volatile market simulation.
